The Business to Business (B2B) Sales Representative meets with current and prospective customers to sell products and services provided by Cost-U-Less. Continually strives to improve corporate image on each sales call.

Key Accountabilities:
Canvass all business in market area in person and by phone to develop sales from current and prospective customers
Conducts research to identify best prospects; continuously look for new business opportunities
Meet with a minimum of 3 new potential customers a day, five days a week. Use Cost U Less marketing materials to leave a lasting impression. Stay in touch with new contacts, continuously promoting CUL Business to Business services
Meet with business owners or business managers, to assess the needs of the customer and how best Cost-U-Less can service their needs
Make presentations of company products and services to current and potential customers
Build and maintain a network of businesses; use network to connect with new businesses
Stay in continuous contact with network of business to increase sales
Assist businesses with merchandising ideas and special orders; offer new products, promote monthly specials
Walk sales floor daily/weekly to ensure a complete knowledge of products offered by CUL and inform businesses of new item arrivals
Process all orders received on a daily basis either via phone, fax or email
Coordinate pick-up and delivery of orders
Continuously report on market activities
Work with Store Manager to prevent out of stocks on merchandise offered to business customers; together, develop a plan to achieve sales goals, margin objectives and profit goals
Respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, email and in person
Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development and report information to Store Manager
Provide continuous feedback to Store Manager regarding opportunities in the market to better meet customer needs; submit a daily/weekly report that Store Manager can use to discuss with Category Managers
Keep up to date on all changes in the market and seasonal needs of the customers; report back to Store Manager
Maintain records of sales calls
Complete daily appointment log; analyze data learned on each call to maximize time and sales
Note comments, both positive and negative, and share feedback with management staff weekly
Track sales increases/decreases of each business for analysis; formulate plan to continue increases
Contact customers to further determine cause of decrease and provide solution(s) to generate sales
Review outstanding accounts receivable with Assistant Store Manager – Administration and assist with the collection of monies owed
Promotes community relations to the community at large
Attend and participate in local community events, trade shows, Chamber of Commerce meetings and local charity events
Ensure CUL community events are known and covered by local press
Desired Skills & Experience:
• Intermediate knowledge and ability using MS Office 2007 and above
• Previous sales, retail or hospitality experience a must; must be able to sell and make appropriate recommendations to customers
• High School or Secondary School diploma or a combination of experience and education required
• Ability to meet all country or region immigration regulations and have valid documents to meet these qualifications
• Basic math and reading skills a must
• Able to work well on own or within a team
• Self-motivated to work quickly and efficiently to complete the entire task within time limits
• Able to correctly manage time to meet deadlines and targets
• Ability to quickly adapt to new working environments, situations, and cultures
• Conversant in all languages spoken in the local community
• Detailed knowledge of various areas of country/location
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and a clean driving record
• Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information properly; develop alternative solutions and use reason even when dealing with emotional topics or situations
• Articulates information, both verbally and in writing, in a way that can easily be understood by employees, suppliers and customers and in a manner that results in increased sales
• Ability to identify business opportunities and analyze, prioritize, strategize, and develop successful sales and marketing plans
• Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills
• Willingness to perform tasks as assigned by managers and supervisors and to assist customers, suppliers and other employees as needed
Working Conditions: • Must be able to sit in car or with customers for majority of shift; must also be able to stand for up to 5 hours in a row
• Ability to work in varying conditions from heat to cool
• Fast paced work environment
• Ability to work flexible hours, shifts and days including morning to evening, weekends, overnights and public holidays
• Ability to lift and/or move 50 lbs
