Maintain the organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies;
Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements;
Adhere to established capital and project reporting governance and compliance requirements;
Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action;
Develop a detailed project plan including schedule, resource requirements, and costs according to documented procedures;
Conduct Kick-Off and regularly schedule core team meetings;
Facilitate the escalation and management of business issues;
Manage the project team on a day-to-day basis and provide all required instructions and directions to ensure identified deliverables meet requirements and are completed on time and within budget;
Identify and manage risks throughout the project; and
Maintain communication with all parties associated with the project.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing information technology and/or business improvement projects;
Previous industry experience in Retail, Distribution, or Data Management with broad knowledge of current industry best practices and the technologies which enable such practices;
Strong educational background, preferably in the field of computer science or engineering;
Excellent leadership skills and extensive experience managing project delivery involving multi-tiered systems integration;
Ability to gain management support and work effectively at all levels across the organization and across departments within the organization;
Experience in the implementation of global projects relative to retail applications (such as ERP) is an asset;
Experience in delivering enterprise-scale Data Analytics projects
Strong business writing skills with the ability to build and document a timeline;
Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies;
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills;
Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office; and
Holding a PRINCE2 and/or a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered an asset.
